Description
…Dale got the all the tasty nuts for breakfast, and when I asked him to share he pulled my fur. Mom came running, saw the mess and said I am driving her nuts. Then at school, the teacher didn’t believe my story that the prairie dog ate my homework. Back at home when dad heard about it he got mad and yelled: go to your burrow, you’re grounded squirrel. I think I’ll run away to Morocco…* * *

Traff, I posted this in another forum and there was more than one comment about something bad this guy has eaten, and I can see why. He surely looks to me like having a bad day. That is what I like about photography – it can take a scene totally out of context. Truth is, this fellow arrived there, sat like a teddy bear, and started scratching, trying to get rid of the many parasites that do love him after all. I just thought that a story about a squirrel that want to run away from home will sell this picture better

placing the subject in the shadows emphasizes the personification and the emotion of the subject. The world seems so bright in comparison to him.
Brilliant pose and composition too! +10.

Got to love the pose...
I agree with Gary about the shadow. It does really look like it's trying to get some space/privacy for himself while he suffers...
Appropriate title as well

excellent photo in my opinion. i'm not a very experienced photographer yet, so whatever technical problems it might have aren't apparent to me when i look at this. the subject's just too charming though, so +10

I agree with pooblah, having the little guy in the sun would lessen the mood.
